Article 1

Purpose

Sokka analyses the public posts you submit to it in order to extract places from them and put them on a personal map. Creating an account means accepting these terms.

Sokka owns no video and provides no playback, no recording and no download. A place card links back to the original post, on TikTok or Instagram, the use of which remains governed by their own terms.

Article 2

Account

The account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the actions carried out from your account. The information provided at sign-up must be accurate.

Article 3

Nature of the service and its limits

Identifying places relies on automated analysis: it can get it wrong, in particular when the place is barely visible, when its name is ambiguous, or when a brand has several addresses. Check the address and the opening hours before travelling.

The service depends on third-party platforms whose rules and formats may change without notice. A temporary unavailability or a failed analysis does not amount to a breach of contract. An analysis that finds no place is not counted.

Article 4

Acceptable use

  • Only submit links that are publicly accessible, in compliance with the terms of the platforms concerned.
  • The content analysed must not be unlawful, nor infringe the rights of a third party.
  • The following are prohibited: mass automation of requests, circumventing the limits, reselling access to the service.

Article 4a

Friends and content from other users

You can add friends. Your username and first name can be seen by other users who search for you. Your places are visible only to your friends, and only once you have both accepted. You can hide your map, make yourself unfindable, remove a friend or block them at any time.

  • Your username and first name must not be abusive, hateful or sexual, impersonate anyone, or infringe anyone’s rights. No such content is tolerated.
  • Any user can be reported from your friends list. Reports are reviewed promptly.
  • Content that breaches these terms may be removed, a friendship deleted and the account concerned suspended, without notice where necessary.

Article 5

Free analyses

Every newly created account receives 6 free analyses. Beyond that, a subscription is required to run new analyses. Places already saved remain accessible.

Article 6

Subscriptions, prices and payment

Three plans: €3.99 per week, €9.99 per month, €79.99 per year. Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes and may vary by country; the price displayed by the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase prevails.

Payment is collected by the platform, never by us: no banking data reaches us. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless cancelled before the end of the current one. Paid plans are subject to a fair-use limit of 20 analyses per day and 600 per month.

Article 7

Cancellation

Cancellation is done from the store where the subscription was taken out:

  • App Store: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. We cannot cancel an App Store subscription on your behalf; only its holder can, from their Apple account.
  • Google Play: Play Store › Subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: access stays open until then, with no further charge afterwards.

Article 8

Withdrawal and refunds

Consumers are in principle entitled to a 14-day withdrawal period. As the service is supplied immediately upon subscription, that right lapses once full performance has begun with your express consent, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

Since purchases are collected by Apple or Google, any refund request is handled by the platform concerned and follows its rules.

Article 9

Suspension and deletion

In the event of a clear breach of these terms, access may be suspended, with prior notice where circumstances allow.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings › Profile. Deletion is permanent and erases your places and your lists. It does not cancel your subscription, which belongs to the store — see the Delete my data page.

Article 10

Liability

The publisher is bound by an obligation of means. It cannot be held liable for a journey made on the strength of an incorrect address, for the unavailability of a third-party platform, nor for indirect damages. Mandatory provisions protecting consumers remain applicable.

Article 11

Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended. Substantial changes are announced in the app; continuing to use the service after they take effect means accepting them.

Article 12

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first by writing through the help page.

Failing that, the consumer may bring the matter before the competent court.
